Project Objective: Development of a custom data connector for SESEM to facilitate seamless data transfer between their local systems and the CRM of one of their key clients. This project addresses the need for a reliable, automated solution for data transmission, error management, and PDF generation.
Motivation: SESEM needed a robust solution to efficiently transfer data stored locally to a client’s CRM system. Given the constraints of working with local data and the necessity to pass through an FTP file repository, a customized connector was essential to meet these specific operational needs. The project was designed to automate and streamline the data exchange process, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and traceability.
Development of the Data Connector:
- Data Transfer and Conversion: Creation of a connector to handle data extraction from SESEM’s local system, converting the data from its original format into JSON objects. These JSON objects are then transmitted to the client’s CRM via API, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
- Automated Error Management System: Implementation of an advanced error handling mechanism. If the API does not respond or generates an error, the system retains the intervention in memory, retrying the operation until successful. If errors persist beyond a predefined threshold, they are logged and displayed on the client’s interface for review.
- Automated PDF Generation: Development of a system to automatically generate PDFs based on provided information. The PDFs are customizable and can be tailored to meet specific client needs, allowing for a professional and consistent output.
Back Office Interface:
- Intervention Management: A user-friendly back-office system was developed to allow SESEM to monitor synchronized data, upcoming interventions, and any errors encountered. This interface provides transparency and control over the data transfer process.
- PDF Customization: The back-office also includes features for customizing the generated PDFs, giving SESEM the flexibility to adapt the document content to specific requirements.
Technological Implementation:
- PHP-Based Development: The entire connector was developed using PHP, leveraging its strengths in server-side scripting to build a reliable and efficient data processing system.
Conclusion: The custom data connector developed for SESEM not only facilitates smooth and reliable data exchange with their client’s CRM but also provides powerful error management and automated document generation capabilities.
